IHE – Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise.
Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) is a consortium of healthcare industry professionals and IT vendors whose goal is to improve the level of integration and degree of interoperability among IT systems serving the healthcare industry. It promotes the coordinated use of established standards such as DICOM and HL7 to address specific clinical needs in support of optimal patient care. IHE’s primary work products are profiles which focus on key use cases relevant to the healthcare domain.
MDoffice Inc was an early advocate for healthcare industry standards is actively engaged in IHE Planning and Technical Committees and participates in Connectathon and demonstration events.

HL7 - Health Level 7.
HL7 (Health Level Seven) is a group of industry experts and information scientists that create standards for the sharing (exchange), management and integration of electronic health information. The goal is to promote effective and efficient delivery of healthcare information. This standard establishes a message format used to communicate this healthcare data between HL7 compliant systems. It enables you and your healthcare vendors to easily integrate your existing systems and equipment for greater benefits.
An MDoffice HL7 interface reduce medical errors with less redundant entry, improves turnaround with quicker transfer of data between systems, and ensures consistency within the patient's medical record.

DICOM - Digital Image Communication in Medicine.
The Digital Image Communication in Medicine (DICOM) standard provides a common language to transfer healthcare information between MDoffice Inc PACS system and other medical imaging equipment, such as modalities, image viewers, and storage systems. For example, if a technologist performs an exam using a DICOM compliant modality, the technologist can send the exam images from the modality to MDoffice PACS immediately after accomplishing the exam. Once MDoffice PACS has stored the images, these images are available to all approved healthcare personnel. By integrating healthcare systems via DICOM, you can increase communication between departments and provide a higher level of patient care.
