Payment accounting helps you improve both your day-to-day collections and long term cash flow. Warnings appear if a payment differs from the allowed amount. Secondary insurance claims are sent automatically. Payment distributions are kept together so you can easily see each patient, claim and service line that it applied to. Also see Billing Management.

Payment Drawer
Click to view the Payment DrawerThe Payment Drawer makes it easy to quickly find, view and select every payment received by your office, along with how much was already applied and any available unposted balance. The Payment Drawer displays a scrolling list of all deposits -- money paid to your practice for services rendered, and supports checks, cash and credit cards. The complete posting details of each deposit can be immediately retrieved at any time. Easily track all payments from a specific payor or plan along with detailed distribution of each payment.

Payment Postings
Click to view the Payment PostingThe Payment Postings tab organizes all unpaid claims and charges and is used to intuitively post payments. The allowed amount along with payment, writeoff adjustment amounts is easily posted against unpaid charges. Payment and adjustment transactions are up-to-date with the latest contractual information to track and verify proper reimbursement. Quickly apply a single bulk payment to one or more patient accounts while retaining the ability to drill down from the original payment to view all of its distributions.

Payment Ledger
Click to view the Payment LedgerThe Payment Ledger tab displays a detailed spreadsheet list of all payments that were posted from a deposit itemizing claim and procedure charges. It represents a complete audit trail of how payments where allocated to patient charges, showing exactly how each payment received was disbursed. Each payment shows which patient claims and which procedures it was distributed to along with complete details of any writeoffs and adjustments. At any time you can print up-to-the minute collection reports to see which claims have not been paid and which insurance company is responsible.
